VINTAGE SUMMARY
The 2018 season started late, and harvest (September 26–October 15) was six days later than the historical average. Seasonal rainfall was light (22” versus a 31” annual average), and early summer remained consistently warm.

In late summer, temperatures dropped below normal, with morning fog in August and September. Fruit ripened slowly without heat spikes, and harvest began with young Cabernet Sauvignon vines. A storm delivered 1.2” of rain on October 2–3, briefly pausing picking. Hot, very dry weather returned October 5, allowing harvest to continue: Cabernet Sauvignon on October 8, followed by Petit Verdot. 57% of the crop was picked between October 8–15.

The grapes were full, ripe, and produced deep, complex, and well-articulated wines.
